A former librarian and manager with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Academy, she previously organized daily activities for the program, which trains members of the national police force, beginning each day promptly at 7 a.m. In addition to overseeing operations, she also participated in training on various aspects of law enforcement and transformed the library into a fully automated resource center for cadets. A vital and dedicated member of the department for nearly 30 years, she received a Long Service Medal in recognition of her honorable service to the force and ultimately to the nation. In her retirement, Ms. Hoffart enjoys keeping physically fit by exercising at Curves gym and serves as a Sunday school teacher for her local church. She also hopes to be able to travel more and see the world. RUTH HOFFART Millennium Magazine Featured Listee
