A Marquis Who's Who Magazine 67 D riven by his faith in the Catholic Church, Stephen Jon Brandow has served as a staff chaplain with the Department of Veterans Affairs in Alexandria, Louisiana since 2000. Ordained to ministry in 1996, Mr. Brandow earned a Bachelor of Arts in social work from Northwestern State University and a Master of Divinity from the Graduate School of Theology at Notre Dame Seminary in 1985 and 1996, respectively. In addition to being a priest and chaplain, Mr. Brandow is a member of a committee for the continuing formation of clergy. He formerly served as chaplain of CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria from 1997 to 2001. In addition to his service to the Lord, Mr. Brandow has served on the committee advisory board of the Louisiana Purchase Council with the Boy Scouts of America since 2003 and as a member of the National Catholic Committee on Scouting since 1997. As such, in an effort to remain abreast of recent developments within his areas of expertise, he maintains affiliations with the American Association of Christian Counselors and the National Conference of Veterans Affairs Catholic Chaplains. In recognition of his exceptional contributions to ministry, religious service and his community, Mr. Brandow has amassed several accolades throughout the course of his impressive and honorable career. The recipient of the Bronze Pelican from the National Catholic Committee on Scouting, he was also presented with the Whitney M. Young Jr. Service Award by the Boy Scouts of America and won a James E. West Fellowship in the early 2000s. Mr. Brandow has been selected for inclusion in numerous editions of Who’s Who, including Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in the World.
