68 MILLENNIUM-SECOND EDITION D rawing upon more than five decades of experience, Dr. Rose Brault is a prominent nurse and educator whose expertise in the field has been shared with students and patients alike. In addition to serving as an advanced registered nurse practitioner at Samaritan’s Touch Care Center since 2015, she has also been working on a part-time basis with Dr. Ray H. Tangunan since 2008. Previously serving as a nurse practitioner for numerous entities, including Health Essentials, Inc., the Heartland Internal Medicine Association, Florida Physicians Medical Group, and the Bay Pines Department of Veterans Affairs, she has also been a prolific educator in her areas of expertise. Most recently, she was an adjunct associate professor at American Sentinel University for three years, an associate professor at South University for eight years, and an assistant professor at Florida Southern College for three years. She began her career as a nurse at Boston City Hospital beginning in 1964. Dr. Brault holds a BSN from Boston College, as well as an MSN and EdD from Boston University. She has contributed several articles to professional journals throughout her career and was the founding president of the Phi Beta chapter of Sigma Theta Tau in 2012. In a similar vein, she has maintained affiliation with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Florida Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association. A fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Dr. Brault is a certified adult nurse practitioner through the University of Florida. Equally passionate about her community, she has been on the board of directors of the Avon Park Lakes Association since 2015 and was previously a member of the choir at Lady of Grace Catholic Church for 15 years.
