Mr. Brennecke has been involved with the First United Methodist Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. He is also passionate about politics and served as the finance chairman of the Republican Party for the Fourth Congressional District of Iowa in the early 1970s. In recognition of his career success, the Iowa Bar Association honored Mr. Brennecke with the Award of Merit in 1987. Living and working in his hometown of Marshalltown, he enjoys playing golf, traveling and watching sports in his spare time. He also derives pleasure from participating in the Promise Keepers, a ministry he has been involved in for 15 years. He attributes his success to the support and encouragement of his family, which includes his wife, five children, 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. S pecializing in agricultural and business law, Allen E. Brennecke is a lawyer who has amassed more than five decades of industry experience. He has served as of counsel with Moore, McKibben, Goodman & Lorenz, LLP since the turn of the century and was a partner with the firm, formerly known as Harrison Brennecke Moore Smaha & McKibben, LLP, for 34 years. Prior to holding these roles, he was an associate with its predecessor firm, Mote, Wilson & Welp, for four years. He started his career as a law clerk to the United States District Judge in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1961. Mr. Brennecke became interested in business law while pursuing his academic degrees. After earning a BBA and JD from the University of Iowa in 1959 and 1961, respectively, he was admitted to practice law in Iowa. Throughout his career, he has contributed numerous articles to professional journals and served on a number of organizations and committees, including the Iowa State Bar Association, for which he served as president from 1990 to 1991.
