A Marquis Who's Who Magazine 71 A woman of extraordinary talent and business acumen, Tania E. Bricel began her career in the cosmetic industry. As she continued to hone her skills in marketing management throughout the 1980s, Ms. Bricel was afforded the opportunity to transition into a leadership role with her father’s company, which had been founded as a furniture marketing and design firmmore than a decade prior. Under Ms. Bricel’s guidance, the company, which she had renamed Colour Creations-Progressive Marketing Ltd. in 1998, quickly became recognized as a leading designer in the region. Looking back on her early experiences in the furniture industry, Ms. Bricel recalls a time when standards for furnishing design were extremely rigid. As one of the first designers to bring color into the home furnishing retail environment, she quickly made a name for herself in what had been an extremely predictable market. Her stained-glass lamps, in particular, have been extremely popular with both clients and retailers, although she is also known for her expertise in creating mirrors, tables, bowls and trays. Among Ms. Bricel’s greatest accomplishments was having her company recognized as the first lighting supplier to acquire floor space in home furnishing retail stores. In the coming years, she aims to expand her private label brand, Colour Creations Timeless Serenity by Tania Bricel, to locations throughout North America and worldwide markets. Her unique creations can be easily spotted on a showroom floor by looking for the signature butterfly pull chain featured on every design. Outside of her professional endeavors, Ms. Bricel finds great fulfillment in giving back to her community. Inspired by her own experience with breast cancer, she launched Color Creations Breast Cancer Lighting Designs, through which she hopes to create awareness in all markets while further developing, creating and marketing other pieces in the collection. All proceeds acquired through this brand are donated directly to breast cancer research centers or related charitable organizations. She was highlighted in the 71 st edition of Who’s Who in America in 2018, and she is fluent in English, French and German. TANIA E.
