A Marquis Who's Who Magazine 113 F inancial consultants like David Philip Dresbach work closely with companies or individuals to plan for their futures by offering assistance and guidance on public finance, taxes, investments and insurance issues. Mr. Dresbach’s passion for the field was influenced by the men in his family, including his father, an independent businessman; his great-grandfather, who was both a banker and rural school superintendent; and his uncle, who served as a teacher andprincipal for theCincinnati school system. With drive and determination, he sustained a successful career in the field of finance for over four decades, beginning in 1969 as an administrator at Ohio University. Since then, he has utilized his skills and passion to earn many leadership positions, including working for the state of Ohio as a regional manager and administrator. He was also senior vice president of the public finance consulting firm Evensen Dodge International and managed its subsidiary, Evensen Dodge Investment Advisors. His experience allowed him to serve as president of the Minnesota Financial Planning Association, where he was integral in facilitating the merger of the Minnesota chapters of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners and the International Association for Financial Planning. Currently he serves as president of Dresbach & Associates, Inc., a position he has held since 1995. Mr. Dresbach imparted his knowledge as a lecturer and adjunct professor at higher education institutions, including Ohio University, Franklin University, Columbus Technical Institute, Metropolitan State University and the University of Minnesota. He has spent a significant portion of his career helping students access financial resources to pursue postsecondary education by assisting in the issuance of bonds and notes for state-funded student loan programs. In addition to being a certified financial planner, he has contributed his poetry to small literary anthologies and written public finance articles in professional journals. Mr. Dresbach has been a member of many financial organizations, as well as the Minneapolis Institute of Art and the Academy of American Poets. In 1980, he received the Boss of the Year Award from the Minnesota chapter of the American Business Women’s Association. He received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Ohio University.
