A Marquis Who's Who Magazine 115 D r. Steven L. Dubovsky a board- certified psychiatrist, received a Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Medicine from New York University and completed postgraduate training in psychiatry at the University of Colorado. Dr. Dubovsky sees patients from around the world who have complicated and treatment-resistant psychiatric illnesses and combinations of medical and psychiatric disorders. His research is in cellular mechanisms of mood disorders and psychopharmacology. He has published over 200 articles, books and book chapters and has had continuous grant funding for the past 30 years. Dr. Dubovsky held a number of roles for over 31 years at the University of Colorado, including professor of psychiatry and medicine, associate director of the general clinic research center, associate dean, acting dean, and interim chair of the department of psychiatry. Since moving to Buffalo to become a professor and chair of the University at Buffalo department of psychiatry, he has continued his research and clinical activities. He teaches students, residents and practitioners in many disciplines and specialties nationally and internationally. Dr. Dubovsky serves his community as an active volunteer firefighter with the Eggertsville Hose Company and a reserve deputy with the Erie County Sheriff’s Office. STEVEN L.
