A Marquis Who's Who Magazine 125 J ane Erwin graduated from Texas Woman’s University after majoring in government and minoring in women’s studies. She decided to pursue a higher education position at her alma mater because of her belief in the university, its mission, and the strength and leadership abilities it provides for its graduates. After retiring from the job in 2002, she was asked to chair TWU’s Foundation, a position she graciously accepted. She started out at the foundation as the vice chair from 2013 to 2015 and was promoted to the chair position in September 2015. At the TWU Foundation, Ms. Erwin’s responsibilities include organizing, as well as planning and executing different fundraising opportunities and campaigns for the school. She specializes in relationship building and organization, which are essential to planning and implementing fundraising campaigns. She has never been the kind of fundraiser that is pushy because she feels that if people trust her and she trusts them, everyone benefits. Ms. Erwin has been employed by Texas Woman’s University for nearly three decades, and her commitment to the university has been recognized with several awards and honors, including the Outstanding Staff Award, the Above and Beyond Employee of the Year Award, and the Lifetime Alumni Award. In the coming years, she would like to continue bettering the lives of others by volunteering, and, of course, ensuring that the donations received by the Texas Woman’s University Foundation are properly used.
