A Marquis Who's Who Magazine 139 H aving developed an affinity for writing during her formative years, Christine M. Frederickson was influenced by her mother, formerly a reporter at a local newspaper in New Hampshire and later a reference librarian, and playwrights such as Eugene O’Neill. After earning a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from the University of New Hampshire in 1968, she continued her education in 1974, receiving a Master of Education from Boston College. During her career, she has served as a staff writer, coming events editor, radio events editor, independent contractor/court reporter and script reader for organizations such as Computerworld Newsweekly, Antique Radio Classified and The Fountain Theatre in Los Angeles. Equally passionate about her community, Mrs. Frederickson has been a docent at the San Gabriel Mission from 1997 to 2006 and since 2009. She was also a docent at Las Angelitas del Pueblo from 2011 to 2013 and a volunteer for the California Mission Studies Association. She takes likes to guide students at the mission and likes to make a difference in their lives. As a testament to her dedication to helping others, she was honored with the History Award from the San Gabriel Mission in 2009. As an author, Mrs. Frederickson penned “Doña Victoria-First Lady of San Gabriel,” which was staged in 1998. In order to remain aware of recent developments within her industry and community, she maintains affiliation with several societies and organizations, including the Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights, the California Mission Studies Association, the Dramatists Guild of America, and the Eugene O’Neill Society. Some of the most rewarding aspects of her career have been witnessing her drama staged at the old Southwest Museum in Los Angeles, as well as researching the Cassini-Huygens scientists and their work in Rome, Italy and in Holland. She has enjoyed visiting many parts of Europe. A native of Concord, New Hampshire, Mrs. Frederickson has three children and four grandchildren. She enjoys reading, writing, traveling, and the theater. She has been highlighted in several editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of American Women. CHRISTINE M.
