206 MILLENNIUM-SECOND EDITION T hroughout his career, John Henry Killmaster III has created art and shared his passion with aspiring artists. Well versed in advanced painting, design, drawing, paper plate lithography and enameling, Mr. Killmaster began his fruitful career at Ambrose & Associates, where he worked from 1953 to 1957 as a designer and artist. After that, he acquired similar positions at LaDriereDigital Art Studio, formerlyknownasLaDriere, Inc. He later delved into postsecondary education as an assistant art professor at Ferris State College. In between teaching roles, he earned a Bachelor of Arts from Hope College in 1968 and a Master of Fine Arts from the Cranbrook Academy of Art the following year. From 1970 to 1997 he served as an art professor at Boise State University, where he also earned the title of professor emeritus. Mr. Killmaster’s work has been exhibited in galleries across the United States and showcased in the permanent collections of Idaho First Bank, Hewlett- Packard and the Washington State Arts Commission. His expertise and skill have earned him the Lifetime Achievement Award from The Enamelist Society, Inc. and the Governor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts from the state of Idaho. He also earned a grant from the Western States Arts Federation. Mr. Killmaster is a member of The Enamelist Society, Inc. and Northwest Designer Craftsmen. He has been featured in the 63rd edition of Who’s Who in America, the sixth edition of Who’sWho in American Education, and the 20th, 21st and 27th editions of Who’s Who in the West.
