A Marquis Who's Who Magazine 343 G rowing up in a family that deemed education important, David J. Singstock naturally went on to earn a Bachelor of Science from the Maine Maritime Academy, as well as a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from The George Washington University. He began his fruitful career working with ROH Incorporated as a manager of the ships program from 1993 to 1995 before taking a similar position with the Vitro Corporation in 1996. With the managerial experience he gained from both positions, he continued to excel as a research and development manager of theater ballistic missile defense for Tracor Systems Technologies, Inc., and manager of theater ballistic missile defense systems for Marconi Systems Technologies, Inc. Before retiring in 2011, he served as a senior technical director of Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense for General Dynamics Information Technology. Aside from his professional career, Mr. Singstock amassed 29 years of experience as a naval officer. During his tenure with the Navy he experienced many firsts, including being assigned to the Navy’s first ocean-going hydrofoil and newest jet-powered patrol gunboat. He was director of the Fleet Modernization Program for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command and did a tour of combat duty in Vietnam. Mr. Singstock’s service has earned him many prestigious honors, including the Missile Defense Award from the National Defense Industrial Association in 2005 and an Aegis Excellence Award in 2011. Although retired, Mr. Singstock is currently involved in church leadership positions and has served as vice president of the Northern Neck Christian Men’s Association for the past four years. Mr. Singstock defines success as being personally motivated and driven, and having faith in oneself, religion and the country. DAVID J.
