A Marquis Who's Who Magazine 401 M argaret Maie Wheltle has vast experience in the legal field and as an educator. Dr. Wheltle began her legal career working for her family’s firm of Harley Wheltle Victor & Rosser, where she was an associate from 1959 to 1964. After serving in that position for five years, she became an assistant to the president, director of development, and television production coordinator at Mount St. Agnes College. In 1971, she began serving as the coordinator of religious education for St. Agnes Roman Catholic Congregation, Inc. During her time there, she obtained a Master of Sacred Theology from St. Mary’s Seminary & University, becoming the first woman to graduate from the seminary. She continued her work in religious education at Mount de Sales Academy from 1978 until her retirement in 1986, serving the institution as a lecturer in theology, chair of the religion department, and trustee. Dr. Wheltle was also previously a lecturer at St. Martin’s Home for the Aged, as well as an instructor and director of the theology and business law departments at Harmony Hill School. She earned a Certificate of Appreciation from the Archdiocese of Baltimore in 1981 and another from Mount de Sales Academy in 1982. Dr. Wheltle is a member of the Order of Malta and formerly, the Speaker’s Bureau, Birthright of Maryland, and Howard County Right to Life. She has been featured in many editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Education, and Who’s Who of American Women, as well as the 21st edition of Who’s Who in the East. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Mount St. Agnes College and a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland. She was named a Lifetime Achiever by Marquis Who’s Who in 2017.
