A Marquis Who's Who Magazine 417 Millennium Magazine Featured Listee N ow retired, Richard Charles Yancey spent 40 years employed by Dillon, Read & Co. in New York City. Commencing his career as an associate with the firm, he advanced through the ranks to vice president, managing director, director and senior advisor before his retirement in 1992. Mr. Yancey served with the U.S. Navy Reserve for two years prior to delving into his successful career, during which he provided financing to companies in the United States and abroad. Alongside his professional endeavors, Mr. Yancey held the roles of senior advisor for AdMedia Partners, Inc.; chairman and director of Czech and Slovak American Enterprise Fund; partner of Board Whittle Communications, LP; and board director of Principal Funds. Passionate about his community, he is additionally a trustee of the Brooklyn Youth Chorus Academy and the Plymouth Church, where he also served as president for a brief period of time. To prepare for his illustrious career, Mr. Yancey earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics fromWhitman College and a Master of Business Administration with distinction from the prestigious Harvard University. As such, he remains a member of the Harvard Club of New York City. In an effort to remain abreast of recent developments within his community, he is also affiliated with the Pilgrims of the United States and NYSSA. In recognition of his exceptional contributions to the military, Mr. Yancey was the honored recipient of the President’s USA Freedom Corps Call to Service Award from the United States Agency for International Development in 2006. Married to Mary Anne Shaffer since 1956, he is the proud father is three children. Notably, Mr. Yancey has been inducted into several editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the East, and Who’s Who in the World.
