Ziegler serves as a senior partner at Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano LLP, a firm that handles workers’ compensation, personal injury and Social Security disability claims, as well as civil service disability retirement pensions from local, city and state retirement systems. Mr. Ziegler became involved in the legal field because of his father, who is also an attorney. He prepared for his career by earning a bachelor’s degree fromThe GeorgeWashingtonUniversity and a Juris Doctor from the Jacob D. Fuchsberg LawCenter at Touro College before being admitted to practice law in state and federal courts. Outside of his work at the firm, he is disability counsel for numerous police and law enforcement associations, police benevolent associations, and worker and building trade unions. In addition to practicing many areas of law, Mr. Ziegler initiated and helped to establish the workers’ composition curriculum for classes taught at the New York City District Council of NYC Carpenters Training Center and the Empire State Regional Council of Carpenters shop steward certification programs and apprenticeship training program. As part of the training program, he educates workers on what benefits are available to them if they get hurt on the job, in addition to visiting union halls, businesses and many other places to teach the law to workers. He presently serves as an adjunct professor at the Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, a position he has held since 2015, and has lectured and worked closely with the New York State AFL-CIO on its workers’ compensation navigator program. Mr. Ziegler serves on the board of directors of the Long Island chapter of Ronald McDonald House Charities and is a member of the National Association of Police Organizations, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the N.Y.S.
