428 MILLENNIUM-SECOND EDITION I nspired by his family, who were strong supporters of libraries, Dr. Gordon Newton Baker, greatly admired his aunt, a regional librarian. He subsequently earned a BS in education, an MS in library science, a specialist degree in library services, and an EdD. Since 2004, he has served as the dean of libraries at Clayton State University, having formerly acted as a media center director, instructional technician, librarian andmedia specialist at other prominent academic institutions. Dr. Baker maintains affiliation with the Georgia Association for Instructional Technology, the Georgia Library Association, the Southeastern Library Association, the American Association of School Librarians and the American Library Association. As a testament to his professional success, he has been honored with several accolades, including the Mary Utopia Rothrock Award from the Southeastern Library Association in 2014, a highlight of his career. He has also been presented with several awards from the Georgia Library Media Association. An advocate for animal rights, Dr. Baker is a supporter of local humane societies. Jin Seop Bak is the secretary-general of the United Cultural Convention and an honorary director general, deputy director general, honorary professor, research professor and adviser of IBC in Cambridge, U.K. The recipient of an honorary Doctorate of Letters, Doctorate of Science and Doctorate of Philosophy from IBC, he also holds a PhD, MS and BS. While being academically certificated by Yonsei University, Korea University and KAIST, he served as a senior member in the CALS and IAMD at Seoul National University. He worked as a conditional visiting scholar and judge for MIT and NIT Rourkela, and was also a visiting researcher at the UC Berkeley’s Energy Biosciences Institute. Most recently, he was an assistant professor in the major of food science and biotechnology at Kyonggi University. Prof. Bak is a member of the Korean Institute of Chemical Engineers, Mensa Korea, the Society of Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnology, the Korean Society for Microbiology and Biotechnology, the Korean Society of Biotechnology and Bioengineering, the Korean Society of Food Science and Technology, and the South Korea Reserve Officers’ Training Corps.
