A Marquis Who's Who Magazine 437 F ocusing on antitrust, competition and trade regulation, Thomas J. Collin has been in practice for more than 40 years. During this time, he has developed a reputation as a trustworthy and reliable attorney who has sought to provide the most effective legal representation for his clients. Mr. Collin is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, where he received a JD in 1974. Following law school, he served as a law clerk to Judge Myron H. Bright of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Mr. Collin joined Thompson Hine in 1975, becoming a partner in 1982. In addition to practicing law, Mr. Collin has contributed to the profession at programs and presentations, and through authorship or editing of books and articles, including serving as principal editor of “Antitrust Handbook for Franchise and Distribution Practitioners” (2008) and “Antitrust Law and Economics of Product Distribution” (2006), published by the American Bar Association. He then completed a doctorate in political science at the University of Illinois, taught at New Mexico State University, and served as the two-time director of international studies and a longtime professor at the University of Wyoming. Dr. Clark later transferred to Auburn University, where he served as a professor for 20 years before attaining emeritus status in 2013. A prolific author and editor, Dr. Clark most recently published “A Strait Jacket for Sarah” and “The Black Angels,” which was featured at the Alabama Book Festival in 2017. Having contributed 270 articles to journals throughout his career, he has been honored multiple times for his achievements with accolades such as the Minority Achievement Award he received from Auburn University in 2007, which he cites as a highlight of his career.
