A Marquis Who's Who Magazine 441 W ith an expertise in experimental methods of radiation and X-ray imaging, Dr. Farrokh Avraham Dilmanian has imparted his knowledge in postsecondary education as a professor of research for 35 years. After earning a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in physics from the Israel Institute of Technology, as well as a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dr. Dilmanian began his career as a chief physicist for the nuclear medical division of Elscint Ltd. He continued to rise, earning positions in the nuclear physics department at the Weizmann Institute of Science, the medical department of Brookhaven National Laboratory, and the Stony Brook University School of Medicine, where he presently serves as a professor of research for the departments of radiology, radiation oncology and neurology. He has achieved much success in his career, including applying physics to medicine and medical research and developing new methods of radiation therapy that cause segmented X-ray beams. Dr. Dilmanian attributes his success to his love for what he does and believes physics can contribute to medicine through radiation research. PROFESSOR OF RESEARCH Stony Brook University Yaphank, NY FARROKH AVRAHAM DILMANIAN, PHD F or nearly 24 years, Terry Lee DeVassie, while an executive at The Columbus Dispatch, was a founding partner of Preston- Strat Investments, which helped develop its clients’ real estate investments. During his 45 years with The Dispatch, Mr. DeVassie was a clerk, district manager, division manager assistant, circulation director, circulation manager, and assistant circulation director. He has spoken publicly on newspaper circulation management, and designed and received patents for the drive-up newspaper rack and changeable graphic inserts for single-copy sales racks. Mr. DeVassie attended The Ohio State University and the Columbus College of Art and Design, earning a BA in architecture, industrial design and advertising. He is past president of The Press Club of Ohio, the Ohio Circulation Managers Association and Charity Newsies, and a member of the Newspaper Association of America, the International Circulation Managers Association and The Ohio Newspaper Association. He is also an active 33rd degree Mason, a Shriner and past potentate of Aladdin Shriners. He has served on two hospital boards in Columbus, the board of governors of the Shriners Burns Hospital in Cincinnati, and the board of trustees of Shriners Hospitals.
