A Marquis Who's Who Magazine 449 A s a psychiatrist with expertise in psychopharmacology, Dr. Magdalena Gebska-Wojdynska is interested in the mind-body connection and how she can help patients maintain good health utilizing a holistic approach. Having been in private practice since 1994 and initially specializing in women’s health and mood and anxiety disorders, she realized that many of her patients had been living with undiagnosed attention issues that negatively affected their ability to lead full, balanced lives. She shifted her focus to adult attention deficit/ hyperactivity disorder, an area in which she has completed additional training and conducted research to uncover new science-based methods of restoring mental health. Rather than rely primarily on medication for symptom management, she has integrated biofeedback and neurofeedback into her treatment repertoire, even establishing the Institute for Personal Excellence, P.A., which offers brain-training programs to enhance cognitive function. Dr. Gebska-Wojdynska earned an MD from the Medical University of Warsaw before immigrating to the U.S. and completing residencies in internal medicine, endocrinology and psychiatry. Prior to these roles, he was a principal at Harbridge House, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Buck Consultants, and a research psychologist and program director at the University of Chicago.
