A Marquis Who's Who Magazine 467 N ancy Ann Krol is renowned for her participation in the first heart transplant and kidney/pancreas transplant at Buffalo General Medical Center, which is associated with Kaleida Health. Now retired, she was a staff nurse in the neonatal surgical intensive care unit at Sisters of Charity Hospital, as well as a charge nurse and preceptor at Buffalo General Hospital, as it was previously known. A registered nurse in the state of New York, Ms. Krol received a diploma in nursing from the Sisters of Charity Hospital in 1970. She is certified in critical care, radiant healing and healing touch for animals through the Stillpoint Institute. Alongside her professional endeavors, she has found success as a contributor of articles in various nursing newsletters. Ms. Krol is a member of the New York State Nurses Association and was on the nominations committee of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses in 1988. In recognition of her exceptional contributions to nursing, she was honored with the Margaret Driscoll Award in Obstetrics. In addition, she has been inducted into Who’s Who Among Human Service Professionals, Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in American Nursing. The recipient of a BA in HR management and a certificate in HRmanagement and labor relations, she earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources designation in 2014. As a seasoned HR professional, Ms. Knowles takes very seriously the charge to protect employee rights whilemaintaining open lines of communication to align their desires and needs with those of the company.
