A Marquis Who's Who Magazine 471 A s a child, Jeanette R. Little was taught to be a high performer in multiple facets of her life. With that value instilled in her during her formative years, she earned a BS in biology from Hope College in 1988 and an MS in medical illustration from Augusta University in 1991. She attributes her success to her graduate school professors, who served as lifelong mentors. After commencing her career as a chief medical illustrator for the Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Georgia, in 1991, she has since ascended through the ranks. Ms. Little has served as the laboratory leader of the Mobile Health Innovation Center at the Telemedicine & Advanced Technology Research Center since 2013 and as capability area manager for the Medical Research and Materiel Command with the U.S. Army since 2017. The highlight of Ms. Little’s career was when one of the mobile health solutions she and her team devised received the Greatest Inventions Award from the U.S. Army in 2010. Looking toward the future, she will be working on inventing an operational research plan that involves providing medical assessment tools to soldiers beginning in 2030. LITTLE H aving amassed nearly 40 years of professional experience, Dr. Lipscomb is a celebrated mathematician whose achievements are renowned in the academic community. Retired since 2003, he previously served as chair of the mathematics department at the University of Mary Washington from 1984 to 2003; chair of the department of mathematics, science and physics at the University of Mary Washington from 1984 to 1986; and an eminent scholar in mathematics at the University of Mary Washington from 1983 to 2003. Prior to these positions, he was a senior mathematician at the Naval Surface Weapons Center from 1967 to 1983, as well as a high school teacher and coach from 1965 to 1966. Alongside these appointments, Dr. Lipscomb was an adjunct professor of mathematics at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University from 1976 to 1992 and a senior fellow of the American Society for Engineering. A contributor of myriad articles to professional journals, he has also translated several books related to the American Mathematical Society and a number of United States Navy reports.
