170 MILLENNIUM-SECOND EDITION A drienne L. F. Hausch is a tenacious attorney willing to go to great lengths to help her clients. She is further characterized by her compassion, honesty and integrity, three qualities that have defined her career since she was first admitted to practice in 1977. Focusing on litigation, matrimony, guardianship and criminal defense, Ms. Hausch has always enjoyed the challenge of tackling the toughest cases to secure the best outcomes. She has also been active in writing and sponsoring legislation as counsel to two New York state senators. In one case, when a child in Levittown, New York was being restricted from playing sports because he was blind in one eye, Ms. Hausch helped draft and pass the legislation that requires accommodations for children with disabilities. Long before launching a career as a highly respected attorney, Ms. Hausch considered working in the engineering field. Finding that the subject was simply not for her, she switched her major to political science with the intention of attending law school. Ms. Hausch received a Bachelor of Arts from Hofstra University, with honors, in 1972 before attending St. John’s University, where she completed a JD in 1976. Since then, Ms. Hausch has been admitted to practice in several district and federal courts. Also interested in theology, she later received a Master of Divinity from New Brunswick Theological Seminary in 1995 and was ordained soon thereafter as a minister of word and sacrament. Though Ms. Hausch initially worked in solo practice, she is now a partner of Adrienne Flipse Hausch and Associates, based in Mineola, New York. She previously served as legal counsel for the St. Francis Hospital Guild between 1978 and 1991, as an adjunct assistant professor in the department of paralegal studies at St. John’s University between 1986 and 1990, and as an adjunct professor in the Department of Social Sciences at the New York Institute of Technology between 1981 and 1991. Ms. Hausch actively works to enhance the value, quality, reputation and ethics of the legal profession as a member of the Committees on Character and Fitness with the Appellate Division Second Department.
