Johnson & Associates, PLC, a law firm that specializes in domestic and foreign taxation, estate planning, wealth transfer planning and tax controversies. Mr. Johnson grew up on a small farm estate with a father who was a musician, but being a lawyer was something he simply always wanted to do. At the age of 4, he saw Richard Nixon on television and asked his mother how he became president. She responded that President Nixon was a lawyer before assuming the role of ruler of the free world. His grandparents also instilled in him that helping other people is a person’s highest calling, and from that point on, he had dreams of becoming a lawyer. He subsequently earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting, business finance and economics from North Dakota State University, a Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota School of Law, and a Master of Laws in taxation law from the New York University School of Law. A member of the USC Gould School of Law Tax Institute and the State Bar of California, Mr. Johnson has served as an adjunct professor of tax law at the Western State College of Law at Argosy University, Golden State University, and Loyola Law School’s Graduate Tax Program. Although he possesses no musical ability, Mr. Johnson has always been involved in the entertainment industry. He founded a company called EMusic and was one of the first people to sell music over the Internet. He also bought and ran a jazz company called 32 Records. Mr. Johnson attributes much of his success to working hard and always striving for excellence. Mr. Johnson has authored many articles for publications in the field. He serves as chair of the Make-A-Wish Foundation in Los Angeles, California, and Wise Senior Services. He was highlighted in the 71 st edition of Who’s Who in America in 2018.
