A Marquis Who's Who Magazine 213 B efore his career as a doctor of osteopathic medicine, Dr. Mikhail Korogluyev earned an MD fromRostov- on-Don University of Medicine and later worked as an anesthesiologist and intensive care doctor, particularly in reanimatology (the study of resuscitative medicine), in Rostov-on-Don, Russia and Baku, Azerbaijan. He knew he was destined for more in his career, so he made the decision to immigrate to the United States. Upon his move to the states, Dr. Korogluyev wanted to continue his education. As someone who couldn’t stand not contributing to the greater good, he knew he needed the knowledge and degrees to help others in the way he wanted to. He earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine on Long Island and, after completing an internship at Peninsula Hospital Center and a residency in family practice at Long Beach Medical Center, opened his first office in Brooklyn and a second one in Queens. Dr. Korogluyev is currently a family doctor diagnosing and treating a full range of medical issues, specifically those related to osteopathic medicine, pain management, hypertension and diabetes in particular. His practice also provides various types of testing, physical therapy, Botox injections, and care specific to women’s health, among other services. Dr. Korogluyev considers having access to innovative medical technology to be the root of his success, but it can also easily be attributed to his various talents and 16 years of experience. With his ultimate goal being to treat not only the disease but the whole person, he searches thoroughly for an explanation of patient symptoms instead of jumping immediately to medication. Dr. Korogluyev’s medical expertise has earned him a variety of accolades, including Patients’ Choice Awards from 2012 to 2014, a Compassionate Doctor Recognition, a spot on a list of Top 10 Doctors in New York City, and an On-Time Doctor Award. Outside of the office, he enjoys different types of art, drawing, exercising, scuba diving, and spending time with his family.
