Patrick E. Matoole first became interested in neurology as a child. The son of Dr. Jack Matoole, a medical professional and professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, he spent many years watching his father and decided to also become involved in a line of work that would allow him to positively affect patients’ lives. Following in his father’s footsteps, Dr. Matoole has established himself as a successful doctor and focused his efforts on neurology. Before practicing neurology, Dr. Matoole pursued higher education and built an extensive base of knowledge upon which to develop his career. He graduated from the University of Denver with a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry in 1991. Five years later he completed an MD from the University of Nebraska, the same institution through which his father matriculated. Following an internship in internal medicine with the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals in 1997, a residency in neurology at Creighton University in 2000, and a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at Indiana University in 2001, Dr. Matoole began his career at Josephson- Wallack-Munshower Neurology, one of the largest neurology practices in Indiana.
