A Marquis Who's Who Magazine 499 D avid Pentland Stewart wanted to be an international lawyer since he was younger because the field seemed interesting, and he was drawn to it. Mr. Stewart began his legal career serving as an associate with Donovan, Leisure, Newton & Irvine for five years before working for the government, which has been a highlight of his career. During his tenure with the U.S. Department of State, he was a special assistant and assistant legal adviser for the Office of the Legal Adviser. After retiring from the government, he began teaching as a visiting professor of law at Georgetown University Law Center. Currently a professor there, he has co-authored many books, including “International Criminal Law in a Nutshell.” Additionally, he has contributed articles to professional journals and served on the board of editors of the American Journal of International Law. Mr. Stewart earned a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University, a Juris Doctor from Yale University and a Master of Laws from New York University. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Law Institute and the American Branch of the International Law Association. PROFESSOR Georgetown University Law Center Washington, DC DAVID PENTLAND STEWART D r. Rosemary Anne Stevens has spent the majority of her career in academia. Dr. Stevens began her career as an academic visitor at the London School of Economics from 1962 to 1964 and later served as a guest scholar for The Brookings Institution. She was also a visiting lecturer at The Johns Hopkins University and a DeWitt Wallace Distinguished Scholar of social medicine and public policy in the department of psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College. In 2002, she earned the title of professor emeritus at the University of Pennsylvania. She is the author of 11 books on medicine and public policy and co-edited “History and Health Policy in the United States: Putting the Past Back In.” Her dedication to the medical field has earned her many awards, including the Investigator Award in Health and Policy Research from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation; a Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Association for the History of Medicine, Incorporated; and the Carlson Award for Extraordinary Contributions to the History of Medicine from Weill Cornell Medical College.
