106 MILLENNIUM-SECOND EDITION D r. Jerry DeHay is an experienced business professional and academic. The chief executive officer of JMO Consultant and co-owner of Recollection Antiques and Collectibles, Dr. DeHay holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University and a PhD from the University of Texas. He began working as a sales manager at Procter & Gamble after completing his undergraduate degree. Four years later, he delved into academia as an instructor of marketing at Texas A&M University, serving there for three years before becoming an assistant professor and director of continuing education at Howard Payne University. He also held positions at Tarrant County College, the Brownwood State School, East Texas State University, Hardin-Simmons University and Tarleton State University. Since 2011, Dr. DeHay is a member of the dean’s council for the College of Business Administration at Tarleton State University. He also serves on the advisory board of a small business development center. He has contributed poems to anthologies and shared his expertise as an author and presenter for the PBS television series “Business File” and co-author of “Supervision.” Dr. DeHay remains active in his community by serving as president of the executive board of the West Central Texas Council of Governments, as well as a member of the Brownwood Retail Advisory Committee, the Brownwood Tourism Board, the board of trustees of the Douglas MacArthur Academy of Freedom, and the Brownwood City Council. Named an Outstanding American of the Bi- Centennial Era and an Outstanding Educator of America, Dr. DeHay is affiliated with many organizations, including the National Button Society, the Texas State Button Society and the Sales & Marketing Executives of Fort Worth. He has been featured in Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Education, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, and Who’s Who in the World.
