12 MILLENNIUM-SECOND EDITION E ven before they enter the world in all of their newborn cuteness, babies require a lot of special attention and care. During gestation, while they grow and prepare for their grand arrivals, consistent monitoring of both baby and mother through prenatal care can help ensure a safe and healthy pregnancy and delivery. Dr. Tasheema L. Fair, a provider with All Women’s Care PLLC, assists women throughout all phases of the childbearing process and journeys with them on the transition into motherhood. In fact, her practice covers all phases of female development—from adolescence and puberty through the maternal stage, menopause and elder years—and includes infertility diagnosis and treatment, contraceptive care and surgical care for more advanced issues. She is also affiliated with Blount Memorial Hospital, which has been serving residents of East Tennessee since 1947. Dr. Fair’s father, Jerel Fair Sr., served in the military and encouraged his daughter to do the same, citing the potential for advancement and a plethora of available career opportunities. Over a period of 13 years, she has proudly served her country as an Army physician, with five of those years in active duty. She continues to serve as a reservist while building her private practice. A proponent of physical fitness who enjoys running and exercising in her own life, Dr. Fair has always been committed to helping her patients achieve overall health and well-being, in which their mental and physical energies are completely aligned. Now at All Women’s Care, where her patients’ concerns relate specifically to women’s health, she applies those same principles with a focus on preventative care to help women of all ages enjoy life as their best selves. Dr. Fair is board-certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and earned an MD from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2005.
