A Marquis Who's Who Magazine 407 J ay Spencer Wiginton has been in the agricultural industry for his entire life, growing up on ranches and farms with his roles steadily evolving as he got older. When he was a young adult, he earned a BS and MS from Texas Tech University before holding several positions with Syntex Laboratories in the West Texas territory as a sales representative, regional sales representative, Far East regional manager and director of marketing. After a brief stint as a regional sales manager and national account manager, Mr. Wiginton served in numerous roles for the V.A. Snell & Company division of the Great Plains Chemical Company, including as a general manager, southwest regional manager and director of field development. The latter years of his career were spent with entities such as Agri-Sales Associates, Inc., Allflex USA, Inc., ProVet and Merial, where he was an equine sales specialist until 2009. He is currently an independent industrial consultant in the region of Spring Branch, Texas. Mr. Wiginton maintains affiliation with several organizations, including the Texas Grain and Feed Association, the Texas Cattle Feeders Association, the Association of Chemical Industry of Texas, and the Texas Chemical Council. He was selected for inclusion in several editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America. A native of Lubbock, Texas, Mr. Wiginton was born in 1941 to Clarence and Faye Wiginton. He married Laverne Shook in June 1993, and they proudly share three children and four grandchildren.
