A Marquis Who's Who Magazine 415 A celebrated figure in the health care field, Dr. Robert L. Worthington-Kirsch has nearly 30 years of experience in his area of expertise. Serving as the director of research and the medical director of the Vein Clinics of America since 2015 and 2016, respectively, Dr. Worthington- Kirsch focuses his practice on phlebology and vascular and interventional radiology. His goal has always been to help his patients experience relief from their ongoing symptoms, which has led to his profound success. Dr. Worthington-Kirsch attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, earning a BS in 1981 before receiving an MD from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1986. Dr. Worthington-Kirsch completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at the Mercy Catholic Medical Center in 1990. He is board-certified in diagnostic and interventional radiology and is a diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. He also has the RVT and RPVI credentials in diagnostic ultrasound. Dr. Worthington-Kirsch has been elected a Fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology, the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe, and the American College of Phlebology. He currently serves as chairman of the CME committee of the American College of Phlebology and is responsible for planning the superficial vein disease track for the ACP’s 2018 meeting. Dr. Worthington-Kirsch has been active in clinical research for many years, conducting both independent and industry- supported projects. He has been an invited speaker at numerous meetings in the U.S., Europe and South America. He has numerous peer-reviewed publications and has authored several textbook chapters. He has received honors for excellence in peer review and lecturing, and is now included in Who’s Who in America. DR. ROBERT L.
