462 MILLENNIUM-SECOND EDITION F or more than 10 years, Dr. Hyun Ju Seon has specialized in diagnosing and treating disease and injury through the use of medical imaging techniques. Since beginning her professional journey, Dr. Seon has worked at Chonnam National University Hwasun Hospital, serving as an assistant professor and associate professor in the department of radiology, which has been one of the most rewarding parts of her career. From 2013 to 2014, she was a visiting scholar for the department of radiology at Washington Medical Center. In addition to teaching in the classroom, she has also conducted research on the evaluation of thoracic, cardiovascular and breast imaging. A former reviewer for the Journal of the Korean Society of Radiology and the Korean Journal of Radiology, she has contributed articles to other well-known publications in her field. Dr. Seon earned a Doctor of Medicine, Master of Science and PhD from Chonnam National University Medical School. She attributes her success to God and everyone who has helped her along the way, and she hopes to continue teaching at Chosun University Hospital in the near future. In addition, he was honored with the Editor’s Choice Award for Packaging Design for the self-chilling can in 2012 and was noted for Excellence in Entrepreneurship for Contribution of the World’s First and Only Self-Chilling Can in 2015.
