377 A Marquis Who's Who Magazine F or over six decades, Zacharias Sundstrom has been diligently working to right the wrongs in the legal system. Before embarking on his journey, Mr. Sundstrom obtained a Master of Laws and a Doctor of Laws from the University of Helsinki, a Master of Comparative Law from the University of Chicago, a Master of Letters from Cambridge University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Eastern Finland. With all of the necessary credentials, he was ready to begin a successful career in the legal field. His first position was as a lawyer for the Finland Steamship Company, which he worked for in 1958, 1959 and 1970. With the experience he gained, he was able to become an assistant in the Espoo District Court in 1960 and then a judge in the Helsinki Municipal Court. A year later, he relocated to New York City and became an associate with Haight, Gardner, Poor & Havens. He left New York and ventured to Brussels, where he was a legal advisor for the European Commission from 1971 to 1972. Currently Mr. Sundstrom is a partner in Nordic Law, a firm that prides itself on providing extraordinary surplus value to its clients by using innovative solutions combined with specialized knowledge and fixed-price service packages since 1972. He also delved into education as a professor at the University of Helsinki in 1995 and at Stellenbosch University in South Africa in 1997. Mr. Sundstrom remains active within his field as a member of the International Law Association, for which he served on the international trade committee in 1999, and the International Federation for European Law, having served as its president from 1998 to 2000.
