16 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine S tar Jones is an internationally acclaimed attorney, television personality, author and philanthropist who is renowned for her nearly 30-year career as a commanding media, business and legal thought leader. Ms. Jones worked in television (NBC News, The Today Show, Dateline NBC, ABC News, E! Entertainment Television, Court TV, CNN, Fox Business, CNBC, MSNBC, BET) as a host, journalist, commentator and/or producer, offering fresh perspectives to today’s most discussed crime and justice, political and sociological issues from the worlds of news, entertainment, politics and pop culture. She is best known to television viewers for her candor, confidence and uncanny ability to clarify muddy legal and social issues. A co-host of ABC’s “The View” for nine years, her knowledge of the law and talent for television has won her critical acclaim as a news and legal journalist, television host and social commentator. In 1992, Ms. Jones was picked to be the youngest ever network legal correspondent for NBC’s “Today” and “NBC Nightly News.” Over the next five years, she led a varietyofmajor network coverageof all theU.S. high profile trials: the Menendez murder trials, the Mike Tyson rape trial, the Rodney King civil rights trials, the Susan Smith murder trial and the “trial of the century,” the O.J. Simpson murder, civil and child custody trials, where she was the only reporter to interview Simpson during the civil litigation. Provided with her own court show, “Jones and Jury,” in1994, shebecame thefirst African-American individual and female to serve as a television arbitrator of a courtroomseries. A best-selling author, Ms. Jones wrote “You Have toStand for Something, orYou’ll Fall for Anything” in 1998 and “Shine: APhysical, Emotional and Spiritual Journey to Finding Love” in 2006. In 2011, she published “Satan’s Sisters,” which was then made intoa televisionseriesonVH1 titled “DaytimeDivas.” Ms. Jones is a dedicated philanthropist who is a heart disease survivor and serves as the face of the American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women” efforts.
