143 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine T he oldest nonprofit eating disorders clinic in New York City, the Center for the Study of Anorexia and Bulimia was established in 1979 as a division of the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and utilizes an eclectic approach to diagnosing and treating patients with an array of eating disorders. Dr. Natalia Zunino, a renowned psychologist in New York City, has been serving as supervisor of the center since 1995 alongside her own private practice. Delving into psychology due to her desire to have a positive impact on other people’s lives, she holds a BA from Mount Holyoke College, MA from Columbia University, and MA and PhD from New York University. Throughout her career, she served as an editor of “Psychology: Its Principles and Applications” and “Sociology: The Study of Human Relationships,” and has contributed myriad articles to esteemed journals. A former staff psychotherapist at various mental health clinics in New York City, she also briefly taught at the College of Staten Island for two years. In light of her outstanding contributions to the mental health industry, she has been highlighted in multiple Who’s Who publications since 1992. SUPERVISOR, PSYCHOLOGIST Center for the Study of Anorexia and Bulimia New York, NY I nspired to enter the field of entomology/parasitology by a book he received from a college professor, titled “The American Doctor’s Odyssey,” Dr. Robert Tonn commenced his career as a student at Colorado State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in 1949 and 1950, respectively. Transferring to Oklahoma State University, he earned a PhD in 1959, as well as a MPH from the Oklahoma Medical School in 1963. At the inception of his career in 1961, he was a research associate at Louisiana State University in New Orleans and Costa Rica for two years before serving as the director of the Taunton Field Station in Massachusetts from 1963 to 1965. From there, he served as the chief of the Planning Management and Operations Unit with the World Health Organization in various locations from 1965 until his retirement in 1987. In retirement, Dr. Tonn continues to serve as an adjunct professor of parasitology at the University of Texas at El Paso. In recognition of his longevity in the field, he was named to the Hillsboro Public Schools Hall of Fame in North Dakota.
