Jones is the founding partner and managing director of Huddles Jones Sorteberg & Dachille, P.C., a premier construction law firm established in 1995 that has represented general contractors, construction managers, design builders, subcontractors, owners, architects and engineers in matters related to government contract law, construction law and dispute resolution. Well versed in all facets of construction law due to his unique background, Mr. Jones previously served Braude & Margulies, P.C., as principal and managing director for 10 years. During his tenure with Huddles Jones, Mr. Jones has participated in prestigious construction projects, including renovations of the U.S. Supreme Court building, the Washington Monument, the Library of Congress, the National Academy of Sciences, and the National Institutes of Health medical building. He has litigating numerous complex construction cases to successful verdicts and once represented a client who was awarded over $2 million. Most recently, he was involved in a case with the Smithsonian National Museum of American History before the Civilian Board of Contract Appeals in which his client was awarded more than $1.3 million. To prepare for his illustrious career, Mr. Jones pursued formal education at the Catholic University of America, where he earned a BS in architecture with a concentration in construction management, followed by a JD from Washington University in St. Louis. Licensed in Maryland, the District of Columbia and Virginia, he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Federal District Courts for the Eastern District of Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia and Colorado. He has also appeared before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth and Eleventh Circuits, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. Mr. Jones has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America since 2003 and has been listed in the top 10 percent of America’s Most Honored Professionals since 2013.
