177 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine SOCIAL SERVICES AND NONPROFIT C alled to ministry from an early age, the Rev. Dr. William H. Andrews was ordained to ministry by the Baptist Church in 1956 and served as pastor of the First Baptist Church in Danielsville, Georgia, for the following five years. He transferred to County Line Baptist Church in Douglasville, Georgia, in 1962, where he served as pastor for an additional five years. The Rev. Dr. Andrews led congregations at New Georgia Baptist Church in Dallas, Georgia, and First Baptist Church in Damascus, Georgia, before concluding his career in 1993 with nearly 40 of experience in church leadership and service. While serving as a pastor, the Rev. Dr. Andrews was involved in education as a school psychologist for the Early County School System from 1977 to 1985 and again in 1989. Compelled by a desire to help people with their struggles and concerns, he considers the most rewarding moments of his career to be those in which he improved individuals’ lives. The Rev. Dr. Andrews holds a BS and EdS from the University of Georgia; a Bachelor of Divinity and MDiv from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary; a BA from Georgia State University; two MEds from Baylor University and the University of Georgia; and a ThM, ThD and PhD in ministry from Luther Rice College and Seminary. A former senior deaconof theMasons Lodge, theRev. Dr. Andrews maintained affiliation with the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and the Southern Baptist Convention. He attributes his success to his many mentors, including Aubrey Hawkins and William Bates, and has been featured in the fourth edition of Who’sWho in Religion, as well as multiple editions of Who’sWho in the South and Southwest and Who’s Who in the World. A native of Decatur, Georgia, Rev. Dr. Andrews was born to John Edward and Semite Rebecca Andrews in 1929. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and collecting stamps in his spare time. REV. DR. WILLIAM H.
