88 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine EDUCATION I nspired to become an educator by her high school guidance counselor, Gloria Manuel Woolson was an adjunct teacher of English at Cayuga Community College from 2004 to 2014 and again in 2017. She also served as an adjunct teacher and tutor at Onondaga Community College between 2007 and 2015. Prior to these roles, she was an elementary and middle school teacher in various school districts throughout New York, commencing her career as a fifth-grade teacher for the Auburn School District in 1965. Ms. Woolson holds a BA and MA in curriculum development from the State University of New York at Oswego. In her spare time, she enjoys serving the Plainville United Church of Christ as a deacon, member, clerk trustee and moderator. The former secretary, building representative and social director of the Jordan Elbridge Education Association, she was also a director of the one-room school program with the Spafford Area Historical Society. As a testament to her success, Ms. Woolson was honored with the Excellence in Teaching Award from Syracuse University, which she cites as a career highlight. She enjoys traveling, reading and exercising. EDUCATOR Cayuga Community College Memphis, NY GLORIA MANUEL WOOLSON A nna A. Yoder is a respected elementary school educator who draws upon 32 years of experience in the realm of education. After receiving a bachelor’s degree, she commenced her career as a teacher at Garrett County Public Schools in Oakland, Maryland, holding this role for four years before serving as an elementary school principal for the following four years. From 1974 until her retirement in 1998, she was a teacher at East Holmes Local Schools in Berlin, Ohio. During her tenure, she was chair of the education committee at the German Culture Museum, as well as a consultant in bilingual education. Civically, Ms. Yoder is a member of the Holmes County Historical Society in Millersburg, Ohio, and the Killbuck Valley Museum, as well as a lifetime member of the Amish and Mennonite Heritage Center. The recipient of a Bachelor of Science from Eastern Mennonite University and Master of Education from Frostburg State University, she was honored with a Silver Poet Award from the World of Poetry in 1986 and has been listed in myriad Who’s Who publications since 1991.
