She has authored several books and papers, as well as presented numerous studies and research to national forums and facilitated workshops. She also maintains affiliation with a variety of educational and scientific groups, including the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the American Association for Higher Education, the National Science Teachers Association, the Gifted Children’s Association and the American Educational Research Association. Delving into science education due to her early love for the outdoors and the influence of her parents, Dr. Croissant set high standards for herself and overcame themwith excellence. She attributes her success to her parents, who modeled a strong work ethic, moral compass, faith, individuality, perseverance and resourcefulness. Her tireless, infectious optimism for problem solving keeps her eyes on the horizon in search of life’s adventures. D r. Ann Bailey Croissant continues to be involved and valued in her many leadership and environmental consulting roles in Southern California. Commencing her career in 1960, she served as a teacher at various schools before becoming a lecturer forCalifornia StatePolytechnic University, Pomona, from1978 until her retirement from education in 2018. Dr. Croissant acted as an instructor at Mt. San Antonio College for three years, advisory council member of the master’s degree program in public administration at California State Polytechnic University for eight years, and professor emeritus in education and behavioral studies at Azusa Pacific University for 18 years, including 10 years teaching in Leadership Studies Programs in other countries. Dr. Croissant has been a science curriculum consultant for Los Angeles and San Bernardino County Schools since 1978, having also been the founding president of the San Gabriel Mountains Regional Conservancy, the California Missing Linkages and the Glendora Community Conservancy. Based on the original land trust/conservancy model, Dr. Croissant played key roles in initiating another dozen conservancies and land trusts in Southern California. Dr. Croissant received a BA at the University of Northern Colorado in 1961.
