44 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine EDUCATION D r. Sarah C. Greenfield is a former school counselor at Chinle Junior High School within the Chinle Unified School District #24, a position she notably held from 1977 until her retirement in 2001. Previously serving as a counselor and tutor for the Title IV Program at Alum Rock School District in San Jose, California, in 1977, she also held two roles at Fort Wright College (now reborn as Heritage University): adult education consultant and instructor. She commenced her career with Strong Memorial Hospital as a unit clerk and then as biochemical laboratory technician, subsequently serving in the same role at Pabst Biochemical Laboratory. Highly educated, Dr. Greenfield holds a BA in general science from the University of Rochester, and MEd in counseling and student personnel work, MC in counseling and PhD in adult education from Arizona State University (ASU). She completed a counseling practicum/internship at the Counselor Training Center at ASU, as well as volunteered at the psychiatric outpatient center of St. Luke’s Medical Center, and an administrative internship in adult education in the office of the university extension and summer sessions at ASU. To share her breadth of knowledge with her community, she contributed to “BodyMovement &Nonverbal Communication: An Annotated Bibliography” through the Institute for Nonverbal Communication Research between 1971 and 1980, and has contributed abstracts to books and journals. In the present day, Dr. Greenfield maintains involvement in several civic engagements, including as a volunteer of the Heard Museum since 2001. A former volunteer crisis worker in Chinle, Arizona, with Ama Doo Alchini Bighan, Inc., for a decade, she also sat on various boards and committees related to the Heard Museum and the Phoenix Little Theatre. Further, she maintained affiliation with multiple organizations, including the American School Counselor Association, Arizona Counselors Association, Arizona and National Education Associations, among others. As a testament to her longevity in the field, she was highlighted in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Education, Who’s Who in the West and Who’s Who of American Women. SARAH C.
