15 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ARTS, MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT A n artist since her childhood, Christine E. Greene has been a portrait artist, fine artist and caricature artist for parties and events. The owner of Caricatures by Chris Greene since 1983, she was also a textile designer for Schwartz & Liebman Textiles and Jos H. Lowenstein & Sons in New York City between 1969 and 1977. In addition to her primary roles, she is a party caricaturist in Syosset, New York, and a contributor to Channel 13, WLIW21 and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Similarly, she has been a contributor to the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., since 1982. Ms. Greene earned a diploma from the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts in 1965 and a BFA from the Moore College of Art & Design in 1968. A graduate of the prestigious Art Students League of New York, she has been featured in a plethora of group shows, exhibitions and galleries, such as “Art of the Figure” at Gallery North in Setauket, New York in 2012. She is credited as the illustrator of “French Fries for Siblings: The Forgotten Children of Autism.” In an effort to remain abreast of recent developments in her fields of interest, Ms. Greene maintains affiliation with the Suburban Art League, the Independent Art Society, the National League of American PenWomen, and the B.J. Spoke Art Gallery in Huntington, New York. She attributes her immense success to hard work and perseverance. Having accepted the Grumbacher Art Award and an Award of Excellence from the Channel 21 Art Show, Ms. Greene also received an Emily and Ira L. Waxberg Memorial Award from the Suburban Art League Annual Open Show in 2015, an Award of Merit from the Suburban Art League Annual Membership Show in 2016, and a Certificate of Excellence from Holbein, Inc., in 2016. Furthermore, she received an honorable mention at the Art League of Long Island’s “AQuotidian Life: Finding Beauty in theOrdinary” exhibition in 2017. CHRISTINE E.
