Prior to this role, she was a writer and partner of BrantHol Productions, co- sponsor of “The Last Emperor” and “Beetlejuice,” and partner in Real Magic. In addition, she served as the director of development for Embassy/Nelson Home Entertainment, director of programming for Westinghouse Cable, and director of video for IABC. She commenced her career as an international market researcher for Smith, Kline & French and a syndicated columnist for the Environmental Forum. After earning a BBA from Loyola Marymount University and completing postgraduate coursework in visual arts and communications at the University of California San Diego, Ms. Rawie-Rook was a member of the International TV Awards Jury in the early 1990s and notably co- produced the CNN pilot for “Clever Encounters” with talk radio host Michael Jackson. She has been the producer of “Ed Mieczkowski: Visual Paradox” since 2010, the co-producer of “Boots across the Divide: The Love Story” since 2005, and the associate producer for “Highway 101” since 2005. In 2005 she produced the short film “Somewhere in Between,” a story adapted from Paul Gitschner’s short play “The Diary Library,” which follows the story of a young woman who stumbles upon a bizarre library located on the edge of nowhere. From 1983 to 1985, Ms. Rawie-Rook oversaw the management of the Group W Production Facility, for which she won the You Make a Difference Award from Westinghouse Cable. In addition, she was nominated for the Award for Cable Excellence by the American Cinema Editors (ACE), as well as multiple awards from PBS. An affiliate of the American Film Institute, the International Documentary Association and the National Women’s History Museum, she has been highlighted in multiple Who’s Who publications since 1985. H aving entered her profession due to her passion for film and production, Judith Rawie-Rook is a prominent producer andwriter who has been the co-founder and president of R2 Group Productions since 1990.
