23 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine A certified teacher in the state of Illinois, Linda F. Vaughn is a well- respected educator who most recently served as a choir teacher in Urbana School District #116 from 1990 until her retirement from education in 2015. Prior to this appointment, she was a German instructor at Danville Area Community College from 1996 to 1999. Spending the entirety of her career in church music, she commenced her career as a choir director and organist for the First Baptist Church of Urbana in 1984, holding these roles for nearly a decade. From 1993 to 2015, she was an organist for the Community United Church of Christ in Champaign, Illinois. Since 2015, she has been an organist for the Zion Lutheran Church in Philo, Illinois, as well as an organist for St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Champaign since 2017. Ms. Vaughn is a lifetime member of the American Choral Directors Association, Delta Phi Alpha and Delta Omicron. She holds a BA and MusB from Hope College, as well as an MA and MusM from the University of Illinois. She enjoys studying genealogy, crocheting, sewing and baking in her spare time. VAUGHN S tewart Lynell Gordon is a prominent musician and professor at the University of Southern California, where he has been teaching keyboard since 1989. Highly disciplined in his craft, he dedicates his morning hours to practicing the piano, maintaining an aggressive work ethic and pursuing several projects at once. He teaches his students the importance of each idea and has helped propel many into pursing a professional career in music. Demonstrating versatility, Dr. Gordon is a prolific author who has edited Mozart’s piano sonatas in 2018. He has also composed various musicals and guidebooks on piano and the history of keyboard. He holds a BA and MA from the University of Kansas, as well as a DMA from the Eastman School of Music. Dr. Gordon has accrued myriad accolades in his field, including multiple grants and faculty awards from the University of Southern California.
