33 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine EDUCATION D r. Stanley I. Buchin is a distinguished educator of marketing and finance who has amassed over 60 years of experience in the field. Most recently serving as an adjunct lecturer and member of the hospitality industry advisory board at Lasell College since 2014, he spent the latter half of his career teaching at Boston University, where he was a professor from 2012 until attaining emeritus status in 2014. During this time, he also served Harvard Business School as a research assistant, research associate, instructor, lecturer, assistant professor and associate professor between 1958 and 1969. After completing his tenure at the prestigious university, he became the president, founder and management consultant of Applied Decision Systems, as well as senior vice president of Temple, Barker & Sloane, Inc. A past visiting lecturer at the University of Oxford, he has since acted in the same role at the University of Paris since 2013. Drawing upon a Bachelor of Arts from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, andanMBA, withdistinction, andPhD inbusiness administration fromHarvard University, Dr. Buchin is a prolific author, having written over 20 books. His most recent book, titled “Hospital Revenue Management Without Tears, Re-Published,” debuted recently in 2019. Penning his first book in 1962, titled “Harbus 2 Model of the Firm,” he has further contributed numerous articles to esteemed journals and presentations. A U.S. Army veteran, he also served as a captain and lieutenant in the Chemical Corps between 1952 and 1960. To remain abreast of developments in the industry, Dr. Buchin maintains affiliation with the American Marketing Association, the Institute of Management Sciences, the Financial Management Association and the Harvard Club of Boston. During his collegiate studies, he received a George F. Baker Scholarship and an IBM Fellowship to Harvard University. As a testament to his success, hewas highlighted inmyriad editions of Who’sWho in America, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in American Education, Who’s Who in the East and Who’s Who in the World.
