130 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HEALTH AND WELLNESS D r. Titus Plomaritis Sr. is an esteemed chiropractor and author who was engaged in the health care industry for over 35 years. A chiropractor in his own private practice, where he oversaw the care of patients with orthopedic issues in the Greater Lowell area, he is also the founder of the Plomaritis Family Foundation, an organization that funds college scholarships to Lowell High School and Pelham High School students annually. Granting over $100,000 to the present date since its inception in 2014, the organization is a testament to Dr. Plomaritis’ dedication and passion for his community. Alongside this responsibility, he is most proud of his involvement with former President Jimmy Carter and New Hampshire Governor Hugh Gallen to remove a mandate from the Medicare bill that required a referral before a patient was allowed to receive chiropractic services. This enabled more than 40 million Medicare patients to receive chiropractic care without medical intervention. In addition to his health care and civic duties, Dr. Plomaritis is a skilled writer, having authored the autobiography “Titus.” His autobiography highlights his most distinguished academic, administrative and athletic achievements during the formative years of his life, including his time spent as a renowned football player. In addition, the book features more than 250 photos from the Great Depression era, as well as myriad memories of the residents of Lowell, Massachusetts. One hundred percent of the proceeds from his book go toward scholarship efforts. He has embarked on a most recent 12 month, 79-store book signing tour, which generated over $20,000, all going to scholarships since the book’s publication in 2012.
