Among her prestigious achievements, Ms. De Zeeuw cites her experience on an off-site field test on a naval base in San Diego, California, as a career highlight. After working on hardware for a long length of time, she was afforded the opportunity to test her hardware and see if it functioned in the field. Achieving success, she felt satisfied to see the culmination of her hard work. Since the field test, Ms. De Zeeuw has been named the lead Electrical Engineer on the project, affording her the opportunity to practice both leadership and engineering for the company. Alongside her primary endeavors, Ms. De Zeeuw is a praise teammember and singer at her local church. Struggling with a chronic illness for several years, she has never allowed her health ailments to deter her from pursuing her goals. Grateful for the support and encouragement of her colleagues and supervisors over the years, who always praised her as an asset to the team, she has never backed down in the face of adversity. Quite the contrary, she has excelled in her profession and proved herself to be an exemplary engineer. Looking toward the future, Ms. De Zeeuw intends to pursue an advanced leadership role, where she can be involved in the process of managing projects in addition to working solely on one specialized piece of a project. Desiring more challenges and responsibility, she also wants to further her knowledge of the field. Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Ms. De Zeeuw enjoys cross-stitching, watching movies, reading, playing music and singing in her spare time.
