Eugene Blanchard commenced his career in 1958 as a consultant to the Illinois School Bond Service in Monticello, Illinois, serving for four years. From there, he went on to serve as co-founder, treasurer and chief financial officer of Americana Nursing Centers in Monticello, where he – alongside his team members – was a pioneer in the modern nursing home business. Serving Cenco, Inc., in Chicago soon thereafter, he was vice president of finance, treasurer and chief financial offer from 1975 to 1979. He concluded his career in 2003 after serving DynCorp in Reston, Virginia, as senior vice president, chief financial officer and chairman of the employee stock ownership plan between 1979 and 2003. He cites leading Cenco and DynCorp as highlights of his career, as he aided in their rejuvenation after a period of financial trouble. A past lieutenant of the U.S. Naval Reserve, Mr. Blanchard received a Special Commendation Letter for his service. Civically involved as well, he is a former president of the Bentley Village Resident Council, as well as former director of Augusta Homeowners Association, board of advisors member of the Cameron Glen Care Facility and elder of the Deacon Presbyterian Church board of directors for combined health appeal. Likewise, he was the national vice president, board of directors member and chapter president of the Financial Executives Institute between 1988 and 1994, as well as president and trustee of the Delta Sigma Phi National Foundation. He also maintained affiliation with the University of Illinois Alumni Club, the Harvard University Business School Club and the American Legion. Mr. Blanchard holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois and Master of Business Administration from Harvard University. Decorated for his achievements, he received the Harvey W. Herbert Award and Mr. Delta Sig Award from Delta Sigma Phi in 1975 and 1988, respectively. He has been listed in numerous editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, and Who’s Who in the World.
