220 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine D r. Jacqueline Chase Buchin – a respected researcher, educator and psychologist – has accrued more than 40 years in her profession. Serving as a research clinician and clinical associate at Massachusetts General Hospital since 1995, she has additionally served the Biobehavioral Treatment Center in Brookline, Massachusetts, as a staff psychologist since 1990. She has also been a clinical associate of psychology at Harvard Medical School since 1995. Earlier in her career, Dr. Buchin was an assistant professor of psychiatry at Tufts University School of Medicine, clinical associate of psychology in the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders at Boston University and fellow in the clinical cognitive therapy program at Massachusetts General Hospital. At the inception of her career in 1978, she was director and coordinator of the emergency housing program at the Multi-Service Center for three years. Drawing upon a Bachelor of Arts from Wellesley College, Master of Education in counseling psychology from Antioch University and PsyD in psychology from William James College, Dr. Buchin also interned at several various health care firms and medical centers between 1981 and 1990. She is a licensed clinical psychologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. A founding fellow of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy in 2000 – an experience that she cites as a career highlight – Dr. Buchin has also served her community in myriad roles including on the board of directors of the Wellesley chapter of the American Red Cross, the Junior League of Boston, the Wellesley Friendly Aid Association, and the Wellesley Community Chest and Council. From 1991 to 2007, she was a trustee of William James College. Furthermore, she maintains affiliation with the Association for the Advancement of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the International OCD Foundation. Married to her husband Stanley Ira Buchin since 1957, Dr. Buchin is the proud mother of three children and grandmother of six grandchildren. She has been featured in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Who’s Who in the East, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of American Women.
