346 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine Exercising the pastorate for three years, Msgr. Batule returned to Saint Joseph Seminary, where he remains a professor of dogmatic theology. Alongside an active pastoral ministry spanning 35 years, Msgr. Batule taught at Saint John’s University as an adjunct professor from 1996 to 1999. He has a long record of publishing articles, essays and book reviews in journals, magazines and periodicals. He is currently the Editor-in- Chief of the Catholic Social Science Review and a member of the Fellowship of Catholic Scholars, the Society of Catholic Social Scientists and the National Association of Scholars. Msgr. Batule received papal honors with the title of Monsignor in late 2003. He is grateful to his parents, Ann andRobert, for the gift of life and their example, to God for his vocation to the ministerial priesthood and his siblings for their support and encouragement. He hopes that his contributions as a priest and teacher have helped the Church in her mission of evangelization. T he Reverend Monsignor Robert J. Batule was ordained a Roman Catholic priest for the Diocese of Rockville Centre in 1985. Prior to his priestly ordination, he received a BA from the Cathedral College of the Immaculate Conception in 1980 and an MDiv from the Immaculate Conception Seminary in 1985. While working as a parish priest, Msgr. Batule obtained an MA in sociology from Adelphi University in 1990 and an MA from Saint John’s University in 1996. He was awarded both degrees summa cum laude. Following his first pastorate at Holy Family in Hicksville, New York, from 2004 to 2006, Msgr. Batule studied at the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas in Rome, where he earned the Licentiate in Sacred Theology in 2008. He was appointed to the faculty of the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception in Lloyd Harbor, New York, as a professor of dogmatic theology. After teaching for four years at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception, Msgr. Batule was assigned to Saint Joseph Seminary in 2012. His teaching was interrupted after just one year, when he was asked to assume his second pastorate at Corpus Christi in Mineola, New York, in 2013. REV. MSGR. ROBERT J.
