Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine Drawing upon a BS from the New York Institute of Technology and JD from the Brooklyn Law School, Mr. Rikon obtained a LLM from New York University in 1974. He was admitted to practice before the New York State Bar, as well as before the Southern and Eastern Districts of the U.S. District Court; the Second, Fifth and 11th Circuits of the U.S. Court of Appeals; and the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Rikon is a frequent lecturer on eminent domain law and has contributed articles to esteemed legal journals. He is a regular contributor to the blog “Bulldozers at Your Doorstep” and to “The New York Law Journal.” He is further a New York State-designated eminent domain attorney for the Owners’ Council of America, a fellow of the American Bar Foundation and a CRE by the Counselors of Real Estate. He maintains affiliation with the American Bar Association on their condemnation committee, New York Bar Association on their condemnation law special committee and New York City Bar Association on their condemnation committee. As a testament to his success, Mr. Rikon was named an A/V preeminent attorney through Martindale-Hubbell and a Top Lawyer of New York. He has also been listed in Best Lawyers in Eminent Domain and Condemnation Law from 2006 to 2019, Lawyers of Distinction, and a Super Lawyer in the field of eminent domain law in 2011 and 2019. He was the recipient of the Business Leadership Award from the New York Institute of Technology Alumni Association in 2006, was selected as Top Attorney of the Year by the International Association of Top Professionals in 2019 and was presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018 and 2019. Likewise, he was designated one of New York’s Leading Attorneys by Leaders in the Law and a Dedicated Lawyer by Roundtable Magazine.
