59 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine involved in numerous community organizations, including as vice president of the Parent Teacher Association. From 2007 to 2017, she was a human resources and academic affairs manager at Columbia University, where she served the Department of Systems Biology, the Center for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, and the Columbia Genome Center. She managed departmental operations and helped to build these departments from 25 to over 130 members. During her tenure at Columbia, she was recognized with the Award of Excellence in 2010 and 2011. To prepare for her prestigious career, Ms. Tahiraj pursued formal education at the European University of Tirana in Albania, receiving an LLB in civil administration and property in 1996. She is a certified and licensed business trainer through the Jack Canfield Train the Trainer Institute, as well as a licensed life coach and dream builder coach through the Life Mastery Institute. Since 2018, she has been a fundraising volunteer for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Since she was 9 years old, Ms. Tahiraj has felt a calling to help people. Growing up in a communist country in her childhood, she witnessed the realities of hardship and promised herself to help everyone who crossed her path. After the fall of communism, she completed law school, having subsequently been elected an attorney of the city. She is renowned for her diplomacy, initiative, organization, relationship building, discipline, loyalty and project management strengths. In light of her outstanding attributes, she was frequently selected to manage critical projects. The proud mother of one child, Ms. Tahiraj lives by her testament that she can accomplish anything to which she sets her mind.
