293 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine a law clerk for the Denver Probate Court until becoming an associate then partner with Johnson & McLachlan from 1975 to 1980. From there, he served as an associate for the firms Buchanan, Thomas & Johnson and William E. Myrick, P.C., before becoming a referee for the Denver Probate Court in 1983. Ascending the ranks of success, Mr. Olsen served as partner of Haines & Olsen, P.C., in Denver from 1989 to 1995. Soon thereafter, he opened his own private practice from 1995 to 2001 before becoming partner at Olsen Traeger & Ursery LLP for the following 15 years. Since 2017, he has been serving at the Law Offices of M. Kent Olsen, where he specializes in probate, estate planning and elder law. Alongside his primary career responsibilities, Mr. Olsen has been president of the Colorado Fund for People with Disabilities since 2010, has sat on the board of directors of the Arc of Colorado since 2004 and board of directors of Advocacy Denver since 1987. To remain abreast of developments in the field, Mr. Olsen maintains affiliation with the American BarAssociation, ColoradoBarAssociation, Denver Bar Association and Denver Estate Planning Council. In light of his exceptional undertakings in law and his community, he received the Volunteer Service Award and Elder Law Pioneers Award from the Colorado Gerontological Society in 1997 and 2017, respectively, the President’s Award from Advocacy Denver in 1998 and 2002, and the Outstanding Volunteer Service Award from Adult Care Management in 1990. Impressively, he was named One of Colorado Super Lawyers by Law and Politics between 2006 and 2019. Married to his wife, Dr. Shauna L. Casement, since 2000, Mr. Olsen is the proud father of four children and eight grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys running, skiing, personal training, hiking, traveling and art. W anting to make a difference in society, M. Kent Olsen decided upon law due to its significant influence on his community and the world. Attending Colorado State University, he earned a Bachelor of Science in 1970, followed by a JD from the University of Denver in 1975. While pursuing a juris doctorate, he served as M.
